A Mindful Self-Compassion Practice for Your Fertility Journey

You are navigating something that asks everything of you.
The appointments, the waiting, the moments of hope and the moments of grief. The procedures that make your body feel less like your own. The pressure to stay positive while holding so much that is uncertain.
In the middle of all of this, it is easy to forget that you deserve tenderness, not just from others, but from yourself.
The Red Thread Journal was created for you. For the woman on an IUI or IVF journey who is looking for a way to be with herself more gently through it all.
What You Will Find Inside
This is not a journal that asks you to track your symptoms or record your cycle data. It is an invitation to turn toward yourself with curiosity and care. Inside, you will find:
Mindful self-compassion exercises to meet the difficult moments with kindness rather than criticism
Somatic practices to reconnect with your heart and womb space throughout your treatment weeks and months
Energetic and mindfulness approaches to tend to yourself between cycles, procedures, and results
Uplifting quotations to carry with you through the in-between
Guided meditations and a companion music playlist to deepen your practice
Think of it as a warm hug in written form. A soft place to land when the weight of the journey feels like too much to carry alone.
This Journal Is a Prayer
This journal came into being as I walked my own fertility journey — through IUI, and now preparing for IVF. I have attended the tests and the procedures. I have lived the waiting. I have felt the hope rise and the hope fall, and I have had to find ways to tend to myself through all of it.
What has steadied me, more than anything, is my mindfulness practice, and in particular, the practice of mindful self-compassion. The choice to meet myself with kindness in the moments when it would be easier to collapse inward. To remember that I deserve the same care I would offer a dear friend.
We cannot avoid the grief, or the fear, or the endless space between one appointment and the next. But we can choose how we meet ourselves inside all of it.
I created this journal to share that practice with you, in a form that is simple, accessible, and designed for the particular terrain of a medically assisted fertility journey.
I hope it feels like a warm cup of tea. Like a conversation with someone who understands. Like permission, finally, to be gentle with yourself.
With love and reverence,
Shreyasi
