Hello Beautiful Soul!

I am Shreyasi Brodhecker, the Founder of Mindful Mare Wellness! I am a multidimensional healer offering spaces for women wanting to access their highest selves. I am a mental health professional, poet and energy healer with a passion for horses and the magic they offer! I’m also a proud stepmom, grandma and fur momma to the over 30 animals at our farm!

I first encountered horses in 2017 and the heart connection with these intuitive beings was instant and electric. On a personal level, horses have helped me arrive at a more authentic place, where I feel grounded, comfortable sharing my vulnerability and love myself as I am.

I have a passion for bringing the natural world and animal medicine into my healing practices. I am an Equine Connection-certified equine assisted learning professional, have attended some training with the Professional Association for Equine Facilitated Wellness Canada (Pro EFW) with Sue McIntosh at Healing Hooves in Cremona, and I am currently registered in the Horse Medicine Leadership Academy in BC (being mentored by Hillary Schneider of Epona Rise Retreats). My deepest learnings are from my horses, including my heart horse Stella (the original Mindful Mare) who transitioned in 2022 and is still guiding me from the spirit world.

My husband Frank and I started Mindful Mare Wellness in early 2021 to offer our community horse healing and emotional rest during the pandemic. I translate HorseSpeak into Heartspeak for my coaching and therapy clients, allowing the herd full autonomy in weaving their magic and sparking client transformations.

In addition to my horse medicine trainings, I tap into various experiences when I offer coaching and therapy to clients. These include psychiatry and psychotherapy, mindfulness and meditation, and body awareness methods to help clients feel safe and connected to themselves and the horses. I am a Mindfulness and Meditation teacher, a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction group facilitator, and a Joy Session™ facilitator. I also have training in Usui Reiki levels 1 and 2 and Animal Reiki, and I’m a certified companion animal/pet end of life coach and death doula.

I am a Woman of the Womb, on a soul mission to offer women a blend of horse medicine and womb tending practices, empowering them to create deep authentic connection to their bodies and womb space for optimal vitality and wellness! I am in a year long Womb Wisdom School Facilitator training with Jasmine Rose of Humble Wild Wellness and excited to offer more to women connecting to the Wild Feminine in the future!

Lastly, I am a passionate creative who loves to write and share the messages of my herd! I have written two books, one with Frank on Mindfulness and Horses, and the other a book of poetry steeped in horse medicine and Goddess wisdom (refer to the book section of the website for more information!).

I’m presently working on two creative projects for 2024- a horse wisdom card deck and a book of meditative poetry for knowing your womb! Stay tuned!

xoxo,

Shreyasi

Welcome!

I’m Frank, the Co-Founder, Program Coordinator and a Mental Health Therapist/Equine Facilitated Wellness professional with Mindful Mare.

I’ve worked as a Geriatric Mental Health Social Worker since 2003. Besides providing psychosocial assessments and supportive counseling to my patients, I’ve been in the roles of foster parent and hockey coach for many years. Equine Facilitated Wellness merges my coaching expertise with my experience and love for horses.

My mission, besides keeping the herd and humans at the farm in optimal health, is to support our clients’ resiliency so I leave this world a better place than when I arrived! I encourage humor and ease, so people aren’t just focused on their struggles. Laughter and acceptance through tough times can make a huge difference. I look forward to meeting you in programs!

Frank

Meet Our Team

We have a team of mental health professionals and equine professionals trained in Equine Facilitated Wellness and Equine Assisted Learning to partner with you.

EFW Program Staff

All our staff are Equine Connection™-certified facilitators in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). They have also completed Eponaquest© workshops offered by Roxy Wright of Heart’s Haven Ranch, are certified in First Aid for humans and equines, and have extensive experience owning and caring for horses. We recently hired a third mental health professional to the team. She is a registered psychiatric nurse with expertise in dialectical behavior therapy and in facilitating therapy groups.

Horses and healing happen in a beautiful synergy and we honour the horses in the Mindful Mare Wellness program!
