Hello Beautiful Soul!

I am Shreyasi Brodhecker, the Founder of Mindful Mare Wellness. I first encountered horses in 2017 and the heart connection with these intuitive beings was instant and electric. Horses help me live authentically and love myself as I am. My husband Frank and I birthed Mindful Mare Wellness in 2020 to offer a haven of natural healing and restoration during the pandemic.

I am in deep devotion to Mother Earth- the Treaty 6 land I walk on, the trees and their stories, our herd of over twenty horses, and the other animal souls who form part of our family. I am also a proud fur mom, stepmom and grandma! I’m a multidimensional healer trained in psychiatry, psychotherapy, mindfulness and meditation, and energy healing.

I hold expansive immaculate space for women as they learn the unique physiology and emotional chords of their womanhood. Placing loving hands on their heart and womb and vulva, and tending to the sacred beautiful vessel of their body. This has been my work for lifetimes, guiding women towards cultivating a loving trusting connection with their bodies.

Embodiment is a key aspect of all our programs at Mindful Mare Wellness, from horse medicine and mindfulness to womb tending practices. The medicine we offer is often aligned with the healing we need the most. As I cultivate deep presence and love for my flesh and bones, connecting to the divine in me, my roots widen further to hold space for my clients in authentic meaningful ways.

My training in horse medicine includes: Equine Assisted Learning with Equine Connection, Equine Facilitated Wellness training (up to and including focus levels) with the Professional Association for Equine Facilitated Wellness, and now as an Equine Facilitated Practitioner in the Horse Medicine Leadership Academy with Hillary Schneider. My deepest learnings are of course from my horses, including my heart horse Stella (the original Mindful Mare) who transitioned in 2022 and is a spirit guide for me.

I am also a Mindfulness and Meditation teacher, a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction group facilitator and a Joy Session™ facilitator. I have Usui Reiki levels 1 and 2 and Animal Reiki training, and am a certified companion animal/pet end of life coach and death doula. I have Circle and Ceremony facilitation training, and recently completed a year-long Womb Wisdom School practitioner training with Jasmine Rose of Humble Wild Wellness.

Thank you for being here!

xoxo,
Shreyasi

Welcome!

I’m Frank, the Co-Founder, Program Coordinator and a Mental Health Therapist/Equine Facilitated Wellness professional with Mindful Mare.

I’ve worked as a Geriatric Mental Health Social Worker since 2003. Besides providing psychosocial assessments and supportive counseling to my patients, I’ve been in the roles of foster parent and hockey coach for many years. Equine Facilitated Wellness merges my coaching expertise with my experience and love for horses.

My mission, besides keeping the herd and humans at the farm in optimal health, is to support our clients’ resiliency so I leave this world a better place than when I arrived! I encourage humor and ease, so people aren’t just focused on their struggles. Laughter and acceptance through tough times can make a huge difference. I look forward to meeting you in programs!

Frank

All our staff are Equine Connection™-certified facilitators in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). They have also completed Eponaquest© workshops offered by Roxy Wright of Heart’s Haven Ranch, are certified in First Aid for humans and equines, and have extensive experience owning and caring for horses. We recently hired a third mental health professional to the team. She is a registered psychiatric nurse with expertise in dialectical behavior therapy and in facilitating therapy groups.

Horses and healing happen in a beautiful synergy and we honour the horses in the Mindful Mare Wellness program!
